It is very likely that most clicking this link are expecting to see something regarding software patches, but this has nothing to do with software at all.

I've over the years accumulated a fairly decent collection of Boy Scout patches, and in early 2008 I setforth to create a way to easily manage and display this collection online. The result is the site PatchLodge.com.

In addition to serving my own needs, it is my intention to offer 100% free collection hosting for serious collectors. I am not trying to change the world by going after such a niche market, but I am hoping to provide a nice and fun way to manage and display collections.

I would be remiss if I did not describe the application in a basic way. I hope to have a more technical description up soon, but it is essentially a tag database relating keywords to images of patches. In otherwords, it is a service that attempts to do for collectable Boy Scout items what a site like del.icio.us does for website links. It is a tag database for images, but these images should really be looked at as items-in-a-collection..not simple photographs or scans.

Recently, I was lucky enough to snag the domain name OAPatches.com, but I am inclined to brand my site as "PatchLodge.com." It is still a nice domain name to have (in this niche hobby), so for now it points directly to PL.

I am looking for test users, so if you're interested. Think about signing up.
